Yoga can be performed in classes, with friends or even on your own, making it an inexpensive activity. If you have never tried yoga before, you will need a few lessons, and you can find schools all across the city. Here are some of the most popular.
North Pattaya
Located in North Pattaya, Fairtex on North Pattaya Road is one of the best-known sports facilities in Pattaya. Although most people tend to associate Fairtex with Muay Thai, they have many other sporting facilities. Their yoga classes are highly regarded, and while not being one of the cheapest, the levels of tuition are excellent. The facilities are also right up there with the best in the region.
Central Pattaya
If you are based in Central Pattaya and looking for somewhere convenient, you could try Yoga Haus Pattaya which is on Pattaya Klang. It is a modern, forward-thinking yoga studio that incorporates many advanced techniques such as Hot Yoga and Fit Ball. Yoga Haus has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, although you can expect to be pushed out of your comfort zone. Private lessons are available should want one-to-one tutoring.
South Pattaya
There are several yoga studios in South Pattaya, but two of the most popular are Ashtanga Yoga which is located within the Mind Resort and Balaji Yoga. Ashtanga caters for all abilities from beginner to expert with classes being held daily. Those who attend tend to be quite serious about taking up yoga, so if you are looking for a social gathering, this may not be the best option for you! Balaji is just off South Pattaya Road and again holds lessons on a daily basis. All abilities are welcome, but there is more emphasis placed on fun and relaxation than at Ashtanga.
Jomtien
In a similar fashion to South Pattaya, Jomtien as several schools with Yoga Pattaya and Jasmine Yoga being two of the notable options. Yoga Pattaya is on Thepprasit Soi 12 and has world-class instructors of different nationalities. Every day they hold group lessons tailored to ability as well as individual training. Jasmine Yoga is just on the Sukhumvit Road, opposite Soi Khao Talo. It is a small and friendly yoga school, with emphasis again placed on fun and enjoyment. The instructors are patient and will give you plenty of encouragement.
East Pattaya
If you are East Pattaya and don’t want to travel downtown for yoga lessons, you could try the classes at Castra Gym. Located on Soi Khao Talo, Castra Gym teaches Yoga Namaste in a friendly yet professional atmosphere. They hold classes three times a week at cater to students of all abilities.
