Pattaya is home to some truly fabulous hotels throughout the city, but if you want to be close to the heart of the town and near the action, then you probably want to be in Central Pattaya. Pattaya is a vibrant city, so it is worth noting that if you are in central areas, it will be noisier than in some other areas, but you do have the convenience of everything being on your doorstep. If Central Pattaya is for you, here are seven of the best hotels.
1. Hilton Hotel
It would be impossible not to include the Hilton Hotel which sits proudly overlooking Pattaya Bay at the Central Festival shopping mall. Obviously, this is right in the centre of the city, and the Hilton brand tells you that it oozes quality. There is so much on your doorstep and within walking distance including excellent shops, restaurants and the nightlife hotspots of LK Metro and Walking Street.
2. Avani
Formerly known as the Marriott Hotel, the Avani is at the Royal Garden Plaza shopping mall at the southern end of Beach Road or Pattaya 2nd Road. It is an exclusive hotel in an excellent and convenient setting, again close to bars and restaurants along with Walking Street. It perhaps isn’t quite to the same standard as the Hilton, but an excellent choice nevertheless.
3. Hard Rock Hotel
The Hard Rock Hotel was renovated a couple of years ago and has been restored to its former glory and is, once again, what you more associate with the Hard Rock brand. It is located on Pattaya Beach Road close to Pattaya Klang making it convenient for reaching other areas of the city along with being directly on a baht bus route.
4. Baraquda
The Baraquda Hotel is at the Avenue Shopping Centre on Pattaya 2nd Road and is more of a boutique hotel than the previously mentioned options. It has superb facilities, and the rooftop bar is a popular evening setting. It is close to Central Festival and LK Metro along with being within easy traveling distance of Walking Street.
5. Centara Azure Hotel
Centara has some excellent hotels throughout Pattaya and indeed some in the central area but arguable the Azure is the best lot in the location. It is situated on Soi 15 2nd Road, behind The Avenue making it an excellent location for Soi Buakhao, LK Metro and Central Festival. Most places are within easy walking distance with motorbike taxis available.
6. LK – The Empress
The LK Empress is located on Pattaya Beach Road at the bottom of Soi 12. It is an ornately designed hotel that stands out from the others and its rooftop balcony, overlooking the bay, is an ideal spot for watching the sunset. It is a superb location and perfect for getting to other areas either on foot or by baht bus.
7. Holiday Inn Express
Although the lowest star rated hotel on our list, The Holiday Inn Express is included because it is in a great location and quite frankly, with Holiday Inn you know exactly what you are going to get. It is in the heart of Soi Buakhao, has good facilities and is convenient for all other areas of the city. It is a more lively location, but this is often one of the main reasons why people stay there.
