Turf Master Thailand: the artificial grass company we recommend in Pattaya
A lawn in Pattaya is hard work. The dry season scorches it, the rainy season floods it, and if you are away for a few months you come back to either dust or a jungle. It is why more and more house owners here ask us about artificial grass in Pattaya. When they do, we send them to Turf Master Thailand.
This is part of a series on local businesses we are happy to put our name beside. Nobody has paid to be included, and we do not take a commission for sending you there.
Who they are
Turf Master Thailand is a Pattaya company that supplies, installs and maintains artificial grass. The company was established in 2017, and its team has been working with artificial surfaces since 2010.
It is run by Luke Singleton, who is a friend. I have known Luke for nearly ten years. For ten years I ran the Pattaya Amateur Golf Series, and Luke used to sponsor it, so I got to know him the way you get to know anyone who backs your event year after year: as someone who does what he says he will.
How I know their work
I am also a customer. At Hemingways Lakeside, one of my restaurants, we have a kids' room, and Turf Master laid the turf in it.
A children's play area is a fair test of artificial grass. It gets run on, fallen on and spilled on every day, and it has to be cleaned constantly. That is where I have seen their work up close.
Why we recommend them
They speak English. If you are a foreign owner, being able to explain exactly what you want, and understand exactly what you are being quoted for, removes most of the ways a job like this goes wrong.
The turf is higher quality. Not all artificial grass is the same. Cheap turf looks like plastic, flattens quickly and fades in the sun. Better turf looks like a lawn and keeps looking like one. In my experience this is where Turf Master stand apart.
It is what they do. Turf Master are specialists, not a general landscaper who also lays turf. Alongside private gardens they build football and futsal pitches, padel and tennis courts and golf putting greens, and by their own account they have worked on installations for FIFA and the International Hockey Federation. A garden is a simpler job than a football pitch, and it helps to have it done by people used to the harder one.
Who this is for
- House owners who are away part of the year. Artificial grass does not need watering, mowing or a gardener while you are gone.
- Families with children or dogs. No mud in the rainy season and no bare patches in the dry one.
- Landlords. A garden that always looks cared for helps a house let, and it is one less thing for a tenant to neglect.
- Owners preparing to sell. A green, tidy garden photographs well, and the garden is often the first picture a buyer looks at.
- Golfers. A putting green at home is one of the things Turf Master build.
What to ask before you order
Artificial grass is a bigger decision than it looks, so it is worth asking any supplier these questions:
- What goes underneath? The base and the drainage matter more than the grass. Pattaya's rain has to go somewhere.
- How hot does it get? Artificial grass in full sun is warmer underfoot than real grass. Ask about shade and about the product they suggest for your garden.
- How is it cleaned? Especially if you have pets.
- What is the warranty, and how long should it last?
- Can I see a garden you have done?
Luke and his team will give you straight answers to all of them.

A note on our recommendations
We only write about businesses we would use ourselves or send our own clients to. If you use one of them and it does not go well, tell us. A recommendation is only worth something if we are prepared to hear that.
